It looks like this code is relatively stable: any reason not to submit it upstream to vim?
No good reason, no. If you want to open a request with both vim and neovim
I'll happily close this repository.
With vim/vim#12806 upstreamed this issue can be closed and there should probably be a note in the README that vim now has QML support by default.
vim has support with vim/vim#12810 merged, yes, but we're still waiting for neovim.
Neovim now also has support with neovim/neovim#24812
