Re-Compiled Binary is not reading/respecting preferences

Description of issue

I unboxed my new MacBook Pro today, and brought over my copy of Brooklyn from my old Intel MBP. This binary would not run properly at all on the Intel MBP (running 14.1.1) but ran on my new MBP (still running 14.1.0 because I haven't updated it from its out-of-box OS version).

However: It is not respecting the settings changes I've made. It's not playing the animations in random order, as I specified, nor is it repeating them one time, as I specified. It's just doing the out-of-box defaults, no matter what I tell it to do.

I'll repeat what I said in the other Sonoma thread: I think someone with more know-how than I really ought to give this a little TLC and upload an updated, Sonoma-happy, UB version.
