Feature suggestion: note stems on tabs

I came across some tabs where the note stems are included with each tab number, so it gives the note duration along with the tab.
Found it very useful, I wonder is there a way to display like this, maybe displaying both on the one stave where the number overlays the note.
That would be a good enhancement but it isn't supported right now. I'd be happy to accept a pull request for this!
