It is not possible to search in or display items from multiple markets at the same time.
Describe the solution you'd like
Instead of a drop-down menu on the Browse->Filter that allows only one selections, please add a multiple selection widget where the user can select all or a subset of the available options

Just not quite possible at this point in time, as the particl-market api only allows for searching within a single market at a time. "Fudging" this and trying to query across multiple markets separately and then stitching the results together is an option, but the amount of effort to maintain this as well as cater to all other filters and inputs is not worth the effort, and makes the listing browser more error prone.
Can definitely be considered as an update for particl-market though (which would then allow for the change to be implemented in particl-desktop).
The RC001 had a "bug" that allowed something similar IIRC. That is when one first loaded the browse items tab, even though the Open Market was selected in the filter, the search would search all the markets... essentially ignoring the filter "Open Market" unless it was re-selected. I remember thinking that was an awesome feature :D
