ngx-hello-thread
Hello world module demonstrating how to use threads within Nginx request processing. The Nginx development docs briefly touch on implementing threading in Nginx development, but I couldn't find a standalone example of a module using threads. This example simulates a blocking call necessitating the use of threads by sleeping for 3 seconds in the access phase, without blocking the event loop.
$ ./configure --with-threads --add-module=/path/to/ngx-hello-thread && make && make install
thread_pool hello_thread_pool threads=32 max_queue=65536;
http {
hello_thread on;
hello_thread_pool_name hello_thread_pool;
}
