Compass navigation tools

It would be nice to have simple compass navigation tools available. For that i need to draw a line from at lest 2 points on the map using a compass bearing. By this the user can calculate his position w/o GPS by just 2 map features, e.g known mountains.
Please explain why this feature is helpful, give examples, and describe how it should look or work.
This is how you work with a map and a compass (+ pencil). Use cases:
1: triangulate your current position based on 2 map features which you can
identify visually in your surroundings, so you can get direction readings
from the compass … this is useful to navigate w/o GPS (to save battery, or
GPS is not available damaged, scrambled, …)
2: you know your position and the direction of something (mountain,
building, …) and want to identify on map, so you can draw a line from your
position to see which items on the map this crosses
