Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I am currently using ISC DHCPD which has support in OPNsense for dynamically updating my DNS servers with assigned IP addresses.
Describe the solution you like
I would like for support for kea-dhcp-ddns to be added for the purposes of feature parity with the existing ISC DHCPD.
Looking at the documentation relating to this part, the required configuration interface is
- Able to enter one or more TSIG keys, identified by TSIG key name and containing algorithm and secret.
- Able to enter one or more forward domain names, along with specifying the DNS servers to use and the TSIG key name.
- The exact same as (2), but for reverse domain names.
Describe alternatives you considered
The only alternative for now is to stay with ISC DHCPD. Or to move to a separately hosted DHCP server.
