Emotiv INSIGHT!!!

I recently bought an Emotiv INSIGHT headset and i plan on developing a GUI for a project using it.
I'm a beginner so i would really appreciate if anyone could give me any leads on how to re-code the current emokit files so that it could be compatible for INSIGHT. I've tried it myself but it was in vain. I'm using Python 2.7, Pycrypto and emokit 0.0.9
