Default value/content for Complex Inputs

Similarly to literal Inputs, is it possible to specify a field like "defaultValue" or "defaultContent" to be possibly included in any element of the "format" array for complex Inputs?
When inputting scripts, code chunks, rules or anything else slightly more structured than literal strings it might definitely be useful.
