workaround for windows

Hello,
are there any known workarounds or attempts to run this script on windows?
Dear Unnic, having no access to a windows computer, I am not able to do it, but a colleague of mine @michel-lepage is working at it, replacing wget by aria2 which is an equivalent cross-platform software.
Give him a few days !
