Remap the save/load keys

GoogleCodeExporter opened this issue · comments

I can't seem to get the save/load keys to work on my keyboard. F1-F4 don't seem
to have any effect, nor do Shift-F1-F10. (I think this may because I use an
Apple aluminum USB keyboard that requires that the Fn key be held down to use
the Function keys. Though this has never been an issue in any other emulators
or apps on the Pi.)

I can't see any way to remap these keys to a different key on the keyboard. I'd
like to remap them to just the number keys, but they don't appear in snes9x.cfg.

Well, the F-key shortcuts inexplicably started working for me. Who knows what
was going on there. That said, it would still be nice to remap them!

Yes, remapping the keys should be possible. Is it actually needed though?
quicksave/load also work on the joystick.

Yes, this became way less of an issue as soon as the you got the the gamepad
quicksave and quickload working. So I guess consider this a "might be nice
someday" feature.

i'm having some trouble remapping the quicksave/quickload configuration in the
config file. By default they are "QLOAD=10" "QSAVE=11", by pressing "select+L"
to load and "select+R" to save. What i wanted to do, is just swapping them, but
even if i erase these two lines the game still saves with "select-R", although
the reconfiguration of the buttons works fine. Where do the quicksave/quickload
commands come from?
