When setting a custom domain for the database, I cannot set it as hoge.com

For the database URL, it is currently hogecom.odoo.com, and I cannot add a dot.
I assume that based on your input rules, entering .com is not allowed.
I have also checked the error message.
However, the person in charge of the system I am currently trying to set up strongly wants to set the database URL in the form of hoge.com.odoo.com.
We are also proceeding with the method of registering the domain using CNAME, but we are having trouble getting the acceptance of connecting through this CNAME method, as it may affect the operation of the website currently in operation.
If there is a way to set the database URL in the form of hoge.com.odoo.com, please let me know.
