XML Reformatting Issue - Comments are force appended to tags

First of all, thank you for creating this plugin. It is really great.
One annoying part that made me disable it is that it is overriding the default xml code reformatting and is appending comment lines to the xml tags, which messes up with the structure of the file and the spacings. It is important for me to keep the files clean and organized. Any idea how to fix that?
