iOS 16.4 (also on 16.3.x) iPhone 13:
I have Things, Scenes and Dashboard selected as views.
When the app is launched, Things is the first shown. The dashboard will usually show behind.

iOS 16.4 (also on 16.3.x) iPad Pro:
Things, Favorites, Scenes, Media, Dashboard selected as views.
The Dashboard and Media is shown behind the Things tab.

It only happens on first launch, and if another function is selected, and then go back to Things tab, it disappears.

Thanks for the report. This is already fixed in master. I've submitted an update to the app store.
