Census for calculation of death and case rates + data prior 08/20

Good afternoon,

My name is Emanuele Sciuva and I am currently working on my master' thesis.

I open an issue to have information about two main aspects of the data.

Firstly, I would like to ask you where I can retrieve the demographic census used to calculate the rates at the MODZCTA level, as I might need to reverse the calculation in order to get the number of cases out of it. If you could attach or link me to the specific dataset used it would be great.
Secondly, I was wondering if it is possible to get the case rate at the MODZCTA level prior to 08/20, as it appears to be the limit of the trends (08/08/2020 specifically), whereas for the death rates it goes back to March, which is the starting point of my analysis.

Hello,
data-by-modzcta.csv includes the population denominators for MODZCTAs. See documentation here.

Currently, we are only publishing case rates by modzcta as of August 2020.

Thank you very much for replying promptly. Is there any chance to get the data prior 08/20 by any other institution? Even as PDFs. It would be important to carry out my research.
