how ptp4l work as Udp transportation

how does ptp4l run as ipv4 unicast mode?
when i run ptp4l as udp mode, that is -m 4 without giving a dest ip address, how ptp4l send packet? I think ptp4l need know destination ip address, but there is no parameter to designate?
