[linux] Support newer Ubuntu without system tray support

Via email:

When I tried to run ColorOracle on Ubuntu 18.04 I got an error that
"access to the system tray not supported". The system tray isn't in
Ubuntu 18.04.

I resolved the error by installing this extension, allowing for programs
with legacy tray icons to be run:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1031/topicons/

Hmm I tried it with the extension and still didn't work :( Is the system tray really needed?

With the extension, I got a black square in the topicons tray, and the icon for ColorOracle appears on the top-left part of the desktop (so, behind any launched application), and neither is clickable.

This did work for me, but the pop-up came up on my 2nd monitor. Ubuntu 20.04.

Hmm, I don't have a Ubuntu machine to test on. If someone comes up with solution please post here so we can share the knowledge while it takes longer time for fix.
