Gatsby offline caching

I've noticed issues with (I think the offline service worker) about not showing the website correctly when reloaded. A big question with this is: how do I know that things are going to be updated correctly on the client in production when I update the site at the source??
I'm also getting some console errors that occasionally prevent the site from loading
