Cannot access files with chrome OS

I've installed the app using flatpac and I've made the folder containing the files available to linux but when I browse the folders, I cannot find access to them? usually I find access to the chrome OS file system via a folder called "mnt" I've just checked with the linux version of GIMP and I can navigate to the files so why can't i find them with the Ntag app?
