Copy-pasted custom profiles are overwritten with previous settings

I have copied the Trekking profile and modified it to match my data and suit my needs.
However, when I copy it back in, the data is overwritten with the data that was in the previous profile.
E.g. in my own profile, I have changed my totalMass to 100 and bikerPower to 80, but when my profile is copied in, the values are back to 90 and 100, respectively.
If this turn out to be correct behaviour and not a bug, it would make sense to get some additional information on how copy-pasting custom profiles is supposed to work.
