what are the use cases of the nostr protocol?

Hi. This is my final contribution to the nostr community. I have listed here a series of nostr use cases so that beginners and end users alike will know what nostr can or is used for.
nostr is a relatively new protocol, so it makes sense for anyone to wonder how to use it or what the actual use cases of the nostr protocol are.
I talk about this because I didn't find the nostr protocol documentation with its use cases, I would like to understand positive and negative points if this protocol is someday very popular, accessible, easy to use, efficient or more usable, known

I wonder if nostr could be used for academic research, where different educational institutions have a common search engine that replicates in different places for different citations and academic papers
