Handcannon stuff...

Describe the feature you'd like to see added

Unlocking it

To begin with, the Handcannon has a high entry point, requiring a 5 star rank on all characters on all stages in the mercenaries gamemode.

This was reduced in the vr version to 5 stars as any character on all stages, significantly making unlocking it an easier task.

I believe it was reduced again in the remake, but they made the Handcannon suck in that version of the game so I don't care.

My point being: Maybe reduce the unlock requirements to that of the vr version? It's a for fun weapon that in my opinion, while powerful, doesn't match the output required in the original game to unlock.

Handcannon ammo

I recall in the original gamecube version of the game that the game would never drop Handcannon ammo if you had the Handcannon while also having its exclusive unlocked, giving it infinite ammo and rendering any Handcannon ammo null. But it seems this was lost at some point in the games extensive porting history. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, one thing the remake did with the Handcannon was change it to use normal Magnum ammo. I don't necessarily agree with this change, but it may be something to consider with the below suggestion...

A balancing option

Unlike the Chicago Typewriter, the Handcannon is free to be upgraded in any way you want. However, I always found it annoying that infinite ammo always came with the 99.9 damage upgrade. This is trivial to solve in the re4_tweaks trainer, but I wanted to mention it anyway. Also, considering this same mod included an option to make the Chicago Typewriter upgradeable and "balanced," therefore also restoring the unused ammo type for it, perhaps this might also interest you.
