Fork, Commit, Merge - Easy Issue (Flask)

Run a Basic Flask Application

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

How to get started

Start by opening the tasks/flask/easy directory from the root of the project.
Then open app.py file and start working on your solution!

Description

The aim of this task is to set up and run a basic Flask web application.
Inside app.py, write a simple Flask app that returns "Hello, Flask!" when the root URL ("/") is accessed.

How to run the program

To test the program, you can run python app.py to start the server, open your browser and head to http://127.0.0.1:5000/.
If you see "Hello, Flask!" in the browser screen, you are ready to make a pull request.

Additional Information

  • You can use the Flask extension for VS Code to help with development. You may find it in the VS Code extensions marketplace.
  • Refer to the official Flask documentation for more information.

To work with this issue, you need to have Python and Flask installed to your local machine.
