Not working under ZFS filesystem

$ ~/dentls 1
getdents: Invalid argument
$ ls 1
urp.mp3

Any ideas? Is this only for ext* filesystems? The previous version from serverfault did at least work to list files, but would not delete anything (no output from the program but strace showed endless errors).
