BUG: no error shown when server cannot be reached, or login failed etc

Steps to reproduce
- Put the nextcloud server in maintenance mode
- Start firefox, unlock passman extension, notice that it says "0 credentials in the database"
- Notice the absence of any error indicating that the synchronization failed.
Expected behaviour
Error when refreshing the database should be shown to the user. I had trouble logging in at first and noticed that the extension does not print anything indicating that the login to nextcloud failed for example.
Actual behaviour
No errors are found.
