Notifications cannot be cleared using Safari

Bug description
Notifications in the Nextcloud web-ui are presented in the upper right corner on the bell icon. Using Safari, it's not possible to clear these, by either:
- Clicking the asterisk after the notification
- Clicking the 'clear all' button
Both options do work OK using Chrome.
Steps to reproduce
- Create / generate a notification
- Try to clear it in the web-ui using Safari
