[Bug]: Can not connect my netdata agent to cloud

abraovic opened this issue · comments

Bug description

Hi I'm having trouble connecting a node to my netdata cloud. I have already connected one node. Now I'm trying to ad another one (which has the same configuration as previous one). I have run following command as a sudo user:

curl https://get.netdata.cloud/kickstart.sh > /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh && sh /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh --nightly-channel --claim-token <here goes the token> --claim-rooms <here goes the room> --claim-url https://app.netdata.cloud

As a result, among the other I get this:

[/tmp/netdata-kickstart-BKH5GjlVw7]# /usr/sbin/netdata-claim.sh -token=<here goes the token> -rooms=<here goes the room> -url=https://app.netdata.cloud
This agent was built with --disable-cloud and cannot be claimed
 FAILED

 WARNING Unable to claim node due to missing dependencies. Usually this means that the Netdata Agent was built without support for Netdata Cloud. If you built the agent from source, please install all needed dependencies for Cloud support. If you used the regular installation script and see this error, please file a bug report at https://github.com/netdata/netdata/issues/new/choose.

[/tmp/netdata-kickstart-BKH5GjlVw7]# test -x //usr/libexec/netdata/netdata-updater.sh

 OK

Successfully installed the Netdata Agent.

The following non-fatal warnings or errors were encountered:

  - Command "/usr/sbin/netdata-claim.sh -token=<here goes the token> -rooms=<here goes the room> -url=https://app.netdata.cloud" failed with exit code 3.
  - Unable to claim node due to missing dependencies. Usually this means that the Netdata Agent was built without support for Netdata Cloud. If you built the agent from source, please install all needed dependencies for Cloud support. If you used the regular installation script and see this error, please file a bug report at https://github.com/netdata/netdata/issues/new/choose.

And I can not see my new node in Netdata cloud admin.

Expected behavior

Running command curl https://get.netdata.cloud/kickstart.sh > /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh && sh /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh --nightly-channel --claim-token <here goes the token> --claim-rooms <here goes the room> --claim-url https://app.netdata.cloud should end in me being able to see the data in my Netdata cloud dashboard.

Steps to reproduce

Just run curl https://get.netdata.cloud/kickstart.sh > /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh && sh /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh --nightly-channel --claim-token <here goes the token> --claim-rooms <here goes the room> --claim-url https://app.netdata.cloud

Installation method

kickstart.sh
