The work for this is actually being done in the JIRA tickets CMR-3988 and CMR-4069, but the merges for that are being split into standalone tasks to keep diffs manageable and reviewers sane ;-)

This ticket's sole purpose is to provide clear insight into the total PRs submitted for this feature. After the final task merge, this feature-tracking ticket will be closed.
