changing theme causes Race Timer widget to lose track of is start/pause state

Expected Behavior
When switching between themes or night mode, the race timer widget keeps track of the running state.
Actual Behavior
The "start/pause" button loses track of the timer running state when switching themes. The timer continues to run fine however, the button goes to the "Start" state on theme switch.
Steps to Reproduce the Problem
- Have a race timer widget
- start the timer
- double click the screen or change themes
