Fails to start after update to v1.2

Shows two cryptic error messages one after another:
I've tried removing corresponding .ini file, made no difference.
OS: Win10 1809 x64
For now I've downgraded to 1.0.
I'm getting a similar error.
Done a quick source dive. The fix is provided on PR #18 by ccawley2011. Caused by mismatch of ASCII & wide strings, which affects both the Message Box and primary launching string.

Apparently something had changed in mingw-w64 to trigger/expose this bug.
