Cooling fan control for lext extruder on Creator Pro 2

chadly opened this issue · comments

With this new firmware, on the Creator Pro 2, I can't seem to get the left extruder part cooling fan to turn on.

My gcode sliced with FlashPrint looks like this:

;layer_count: 171
M108 T1
G1 X-.54 Y11.57 F6000
;preExtrude:0.20
M106
G1 Z.200 F420

The gcode from PrusaSlicer looks like this:

M108 T1
T1
G92 E0
M106 S255

The key part: M106 and M106 S255 doesn't seem to work on the left extruder (but works fine on the right).

I'm wondering if this is a firmware or hardware thing.

For some more context, I took the left extruder fan off and hooked it to a 5V power supply and the fan works fine.

I'm in contact with FlashForge support but wanted to post here too in case it's a firmware issue.

It's a hardware issue. Getting a replacement fan sent out.

@chadly Hi ! It was reproduced also on unpatched firmware too ?

yes, I reverted back and saw the same behavior. I'm now wondering if that fan has ever been working (printer is couple of weeks old).

I also have this issue, and i replace the motherboard and still doesnt work i try swaping cables on motherboard and starts left fan working and right fan doesnt work...so i suspect motherboard faulty or firmware????
