Shelly Uni outputs don't match UI state

Ran into an issue where the shelly uni device I have works as expected with the stock firmware but when I install shelly-homekit I have issues with the outputs.
When I first installed this firmware I found the outputs were closed regardless of the UI state. After doing it again output 1 is open but output 2 is closed. Changing settings in the UI from defaults to detached and default off doesn't seem to have any impact. The settings do seem to be saved by the device.
I am checking the state of the outputs with a multimeter. Seeing several M ohms when the relay is open and 30 ohms when it is closed.
If anyone has seen this or has any suggestions to debug that would be amazing.
