stopping mercury in command line leaves other services running

When starting mercury in the terminal with mercury run
and then stopping it via ctrl-c leaves other some other services still running and it its not clear which those are and how to stop them.
It would be good to stop all services by mercury or output information on how to stop them.
I think something with my install was broken. After reboot it looks like stopping mercury also stops background services.
next time I will try to run mercury run clear
. Closing this for now
