markdown-extra flavor not fully supported?

Hi!,
it seems that markdown-extra is not fully supported. Specifically, the footnotes feature doesn't work (https://michelf.ca/projects/php-markdown/extra/#footnotes).

It would be possible to fix this?

@Yaco Thanks for the report.

This plugin depends https://github.com/cebe/markdown for reducing maintain costs. Unfortunately, since https://github.com/cebe/markdown is not supported footnotes, this plugin cannot render well them. This is an upstream issue. I will support footnotes if https://github.com/cebe/markdown will support them.

There is a fork that already supports footnotes. See: panrus/markdown@bf0b916

Would you consider including that version with your plugin?
