before scanning , the scan checks many branches which were not part of Pull request

When the scan is initiated for a PR. it checks many branches and the buffer is occupied . Why the scan is not only validating hte PR feature branch only.
Thus the buffer is occupied and the scan is failed before initiating
We have lots of stale branches.. so it downlods lime GBs of data. Not optimal
