The download hangs and I get this message when I try to "force" success or failure.

What is the server running on?
Is curl or wget installed properly?
When you open a terminal and type curl --version or wget --version, do you get any response?

Please attach the file ss.log from your Plug-ins/ss-plex.bundle/ directory.

Windows 7, curl is in c:\windows, curl 7.40.0 (i386-pc-win32)
libcurl/7.40.0 OpenSSL/1.0.1g zlib/1.2.8 WinIDN libssh2/1.4.3_DEV

nothing relevant there, but trying to remove a download gives: "This
channel is not responding".
