@James-Heathcote did you try login with az login command? That should resolve this issue. Please, install/upgrade the az cli latest version.

That’s resolved my issue, please note the article "installing and using DCR Config Generator" under "tools for migrating from Log Analytics Agent to Azure Monitor Agent" does not mention the need for azure cli, and tells you to use connect-azaccount
