mesos ps with no running tasks returns confusing message

(env)➜  mesos-cli git:(master) ✗ mesos ps
===>You have no tasks for that filter<===

Not sure what this means, I haven't set a filter. There's no obvious way for that command to allow me to set a filter either. What are filters?
