How stable is Meshbird for production use?

opened this issue · comments

Hello,

Can you please tell me if Meshbird is stable enough for production use?

I know that there are other VPN solutions out there like OpenVPN, Tinc, and SoftEther, but I really like the idea of a distributed system thatr Meshbird offers.

Cheers :)

Hello @lonnieOST!

I guess it ready for production but it highly depends on network infrastructure because it still don't cover 100% edge cases that could be while using multi cloud networks.

I'm happy to help you to solve your problem based on Meshbird.

Hello Miolini,

Thanks for getting back to me on this.

I have a couple of machines that I will have Docker containers running on the same subnet so that they can see each other even though they are on physically different hosts and wanted to be able to use meshbird to allow them to talk.

I will give it a try and let you know. Thanks

@Outstep what is your input on this topic now you tested it?

@Outstep Hey! How is your tryings?

Is there ANY Documentation for Meshbird 2 other than the CLI based Help (re - - help)

Hi All,

Hope that everyone is doing well today.

I am wondering if Meshbird 2 has been tested in regards to scaling as I am wondering what might be the upper limits on the number of nodes in the network.

The current project that I am researching to build up could require a HUGE number of nodes and I am looking for a P2P technology that might be able to handle it.

I have come across Freenet, LibP2P, OpenDHT, and some others, but have always liked Meshbird and wanted to see what it might be able to do.

Cheers

Any suggestions?

Is Meshbird still active?
