Not working on Safari 11.0 (macOS High Sierra)

Looks very promising but unfortunately can't get it to work. Followed the instructions provided but the feed is still there. I disabled all my plugins but still no luck.
Found another plugin that does the same: newsfeed-eradicator. Works like a charm for me.
