Downloading freezes up when Bad checksum! encountered

Haven't used this updater in awhile. I'm running the newest Analogue Pocket firmware 1.2.
Pocket Updater Utility has been freezing on different .rom downloads when a "Bad checksum!" is encountered. Currently happening on csclub.rom but was happening on Outrun's rom last night. This app is now unusable for me. Hoping something can be added to avoid these freezes and at the very least a timeout that skips over the rom and continues instead of freezing. Like I said I can no longer use this utility.
Experiencing this using the latest version of Pocket Updater.
Also, it's a hard crash. Causes Task Manager to freeze, I cannot close the window and the only recourse is to restart my PC.
Looks like if the SD card adapter isn't fast enough it runs into a bottleneck and this problem occurs. I avoided this by finding a faster adapter.
