Seems to be very slow on OSx, but extremely fast on Linux

On OSx just takes forever, but always works. Anyone else seeing this or have any debugging / diagnosis tips?
Like near instant on linux, but 2 minutes on osx...
It works fast for me on macOS ... at least as fast as Linux. My slow OS is Windows using a git bash terminal, but I suspect that has to do with how many threads it's allowed to use. As far as speed, what settings/substitutions are you using?
Works pretty fast also for me on macOS...
Note: is it possible that you have an antivirus scanning all the files changed ?
