Describe the bug
This all codelabs nee to be uppgraded for new beginners to do the labs they do not compile in android studio but are linked as ttorials in the developer.adnfoid .com site.. as they are niow they are niot good tutorials for beginners since it is a lot of fuzz to get them compile
To Reproduce
download and compile in newest android studo and latest kotlin
also uuse syntetic legacy libires and that should not bee in a starter codelab like this

needed to change a lot in gradle files and dependies was a lot out of date.
it will be great to upgrade the tutorial.
