[Feature request]: Use bright background

Expected behaviour
I don't know what the default background for mate-terminal when it has not been packaged. But white or off-white background is preferred to prevent eye-straining for day time use.
Actual behaviour
The default background-color in mate-terminal for Trisquel 11 is black.

Open mate-terminal
