The add-on stopped working

fehmud opened this issue · comments

Hello,

the add-on does not work here. If I remember correctly, when I installed it, it worked at first, but then stopped. I don't know what could be the problem.

At first, I thought that the add-on was conflicting with the "Hide Unwanted Results of Google Search" add-on, but even when I disable the "Hide Unwanted Results of Google Search" add-on, the Google redirects are still there.

I am using the last version of Firefox.

Any help? Thank you.

Hi!

I'm using Firefox 33 beta and it works fine.In order to checkout if it's really working or not not, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://www.google.com/
  2. Open your Web Console (press Control + Shift + k)
  3. Search anything: look at the web console if firefox makes a request to https://www.google.com/url like the first request in this screenshot:
    addon-disabled

This is what happens if the addon is broken or if you disbaled it (like I've done to get this screenshot).

If you don't see the request to google.com/url, then the addon is working fine :)

Google does a lot of A/B testing so different folks may be seeing different things.

Here is a short GIF of how they are replacing the URL on mouse click:

Edit to add: In case I wasn't clear, this was with this addon enabled.

Hi Matagus,

thanks for your support.

I was using Firefox 32.0.3. I have upgraded to Firefox 33.0. "Copy Link Location" worked once, and then stopped working again. I have launched the Console, but it doesn't show anything at all. Who knows what is interfering with the Console? Never mind, I will just use Bing instead of Google.

Thank you anyway. Cheers.
