Can this tool may be cause for my OEM version of Windows changed to VL version?

I've brought new laptop and installed Office 2016 with this tool. Last day I've noticed that my Windows is on volume licence rather on OEM as it should be. I'm going to take it to repair because it could be problem from the very beginning but could this tool be the reason for it?

@ladymacbethh98
Changing license to volume or retail or OEM only requires entering the corresponding channel key in the windows activation page in settings.

To view the OEM license key for windows that came with your purchased laptop, open command prompt as admin and enter

wmic path softwarelicensingservice get oa3xoriginalproductkey

It will show you a key, enter that key in the windows activation page in settings, and voila, the information there will change.

Thank you from your answer.

I bought a laptop with - as I assumed - genuine Windows 11 from a genuine shop and installed Office 16 using this tool when I first opened it. Last day I noticed that my Windows license is Volume Key, not OEM. I was told by some professionals that sometimes the OEM version can be converted to Volume Key by some damaged update or by some file. And as far as I remember your script was the only "not genuine" file I've used. So my question is, could this activator trigger this conversion? I really appreciate your work but I need this information because the laptop will be repaired under warranty.

I checked BIOS and there's a different key than in PowerShell so it's a crazy situation.

@ladymacbethh98 MAS will use the KMS (Volume) key for Windows if you mistakenly used the KMS38 option and still proceeded to activate even when it said Windows is already activated and activation isn't required.

If you didn't do that and only used ohook option for office, then no. MAS won't change the Windows key then.

Btw, those professionals are wrong about that key can be changed to volume by update or by some file, it changes when some Volume key in inserted by someone/tool.

Thank you for your kind reply!
