ESXI 8 Deployment and VM provisioning.

  • Installed ESXi host on VMWare Workstation. Configured static IPv4 address.
  • Boot to portal and navigate to default TCP/IP stack to rename host, input domain and DNS server and search domain.
  • Configured NTP settings and started NTP service. Setup data stores and ISO directories.
  • Configured Port Groups (VLANs) and vSwitches. Created new virtual machines under corresponding port groups.
