Delete pages in Obsidian are not deleted in Confluence

If I delete a page in Obsidian that I previously published to Confluence, it will not be deleted from Confluence after I re-publish all pages.

Currently I came with a workflow where I first move the to be deleted pages to a ToDelete folder that is synced to confluence.
After I publish all pages I know I can safely delete pages that are in the ToDelete folder on both Obsidian and Confluence.

Currently the plugin has no way of knowing which pages it previously owned to delete them as it doesn't store any data in Confluence.

Do you only ever publish the files from Obsidian under the 1 parent?
If you added a file under that parent that was created in confluence and it was deleted would that be okay?

Currently yes but on the long run, problably not.

Yes because I really see that folder as a slave of Obsidian.
