[Feature Request] LaTeX support

JKStabl opened this issue · comments

As an engineer, I often use LaTeX in my notes in order to type equations, variables, etc. In Obsidian the rendering works out of the box using the $ $ environment (or $$ $$). However, Confluence does not support LaTeX by default, which probably makes my request more difficult. Would it be possible, though, to convert the Obsidian equation into an image file and replace the LaTeX part in the Obsidian note by the image file when uploading to Confluence? I think for Mermaid diagrams a similar approach is already used.

Yeah this would be possible :)

I don't have time to look at LaTeX support right now but would be happy to accept a PR to add it 👍 It should be fairly easy to follow the Mermaid code.
