Tax4fun without species

Hello,

This is more of a request for advice rather than an issue with your code. For context, I am pretty new to this sort of data analysis

When I run tax4fun it produces a KEGG table with no numbers in it (table of zeros) and this is because very few of my taxa are identified to species level.

Does this essentially exclude me from using something like tax4fun? I thought it used the sequences themselves but I guess there isn't that much information there...

Is there any alternative for functional predictions or am I at the end of the road here?
